Chapter 6-

By the time I reached the earth again, Aaron was already in his ward. When I barged in, Callum was already there, joking and laughing with Aaron.
"It seems that you are alright now." I said.
"Thanks for saving my life, Sephy." Aaron said, smiling sincerely.
It was the first time he had spoken directly to me! I was overjoyed. " Oh, no problem. I could not just stand there and watch you die right?" I joked.
Aaron just smiled and for the next few minutes, both of us did not say anything but stare into space. At least I was trying to pretend that I was day-dreaming. I knew that Aaron had been wondering why I knew that he was in danger when I was at the other far end of the street. Meanwhile, Callum was rambling on about how shocked he was to find Aaron covered with blood. For once, I was glad that Callum was here with us.
After Callum left, I stood up to leave too, but Aaron dropped a bombshell.
"...Sephy! Wait. Can I ...ask you something?"
My heart rocked against my chest. I knew what the question was, and I had spent the last hour thinking of methods to counter that question. I nodded slowly.
" Can you...can you come by here tomorrow again?"
" What?!" I said, without thinking. It wasn't really my fault. I did not expect that he would be asking something like that.
Aaron was taken aback. He looked very hurt that I quickly rushed to explain myself . "I..I meant sure. Why not?"
" You do not have to force yourself..." he said meekly.
" Of course not! I would love to!" And then I was discussing with him on what he wants me to bring for him as he would be staying in the hospital for at least three days.
We talked and had a laugh. I stayed by his side until the nurse announced that visiting time was over. " Nights, Aaron."
" Goodnight. Be careful. " he said, expressing his worry.
I was touched and over the moon. Finally, the awkward moment between us was over. We were friends now and I can understand my Destiny Mortal better. I could stay by his side and protect him from the Death Angels...However, i still could not find out the reason on why he ignored me during the first few days when I first met him. Thus, I vowed to work on my powers and acquire the mind-reading skill that Sapphire has.
The next day. I wrote in the Destiny book.
Today, Aaron's injury will recover faster and he no longer needs to stay in the hospital.He will allow me to take him home and take care of him till he fully recovers.He will not be lonely with me by his side. I want him to be safe and I will try my best to prevent the Death Angels from attempting to end his life a second time.
Meanwhile, in a dark and secluded mansion,the prince of the Death Angels empire, Lisbon, was cursing at his first failed attempt. "F*** that damn destiny angel! How dare she ruin my plans!!! She and her destiny mortal will get it from me! I swear!"


The school holidays are finally here!
Yaay!
There are lots of work to be done(esp. Chinese...)
There are also weird projects like finding out the sexual transmitted disease??

It was horrible...
i gt 13 in class(my unlucky register number and age...)
and 131 in level!

I tried ways and means to get the boys to notice me, but my efforts went down the drain. They were talking about stuff I totally do not understand. Finally, I gave up. I grabbed my bag and was about to leave when Callum asked," Hey, where are you going?"
I turned back, surprised tt he noticed me, after so long. " Home" I answered. " I will walk you home!" he said cheerfully. " I also need to get going, anyway." Aaron added. I smiled as the boys gathered their things and we walked out together. " My house is on the other end of this street. see ya." Aaron bade us goodbye. But, I noticed he seemed to be afraid to meet my eye...
Callum and I then continued our journey, until an alarm shook my world. There was loud and piercing alarm ringing in my head.I could feel my power rising. My heart felt like it was going to explode any moment. My sixth sense told me someone was in trouble. I always had this feeling when Callum or Sapphire was in need. However, Callum was by my side and Sapphire was having a meeting with the other angels. What could happen to her? Suddenly, it hit me. I raced to the opposite direction, ignoring Callum. I ran like a bullet train, my feet almost leaving the ground,I had the sudden urge to fly. My eyes were darting around frantically, looking for the familiar figure. I prayed with all my might that he was safe and sound.
Then, I saw him. He limply stood in the middle of the road. His eyes open widely, his gaze never leaving the BMW that was going to crash into him in mere seconds.
" NO!" I shouted, charging forward and pushed him away from the oncoming vehicle. It was a close shave.Both of us flew through the air and landed with a heavy "thud" on the ground. We panted heavily and I heaved a sigh of relief. Aaron, my destiny mortal, was breathing.He was alive. Then, I heard a groan. I realised I was on top of him, and he was bleeding profusely. It seemed that he had hit his head against the tarmac ground and scratched himself too. I quickly clambered away from him and helped him up. He was in an awful sight. Blood trickled down his forehead and dripped drop by drop on his collar. " Do you think you can still walk?" I asked. I could tell he was in pain but I could not use my powers to spare him the agony. I was in a fix.
Then, Callum was beside us." OMQ! Buddy, wad the hell happened to you?! Sephy, wad hapened?! GOSH!!!" He shouted, oblivious to the passer-bys crowding around us nosily.
In low voice I said," Callum, I will explain to you soon.Call for the ambulance immediately. Aaron is seriously injured." Callum swiftly fished out his phone and dialed for the ambulance with shaky fingers.
In the ambulance, I sat by Aaron's side, clutching his hand tightly. Callum, on the other hand, was as pale as Aaron. It seemed that both boys gt a shock. After what seemed like eternity, we reached the hospital and Aaron went unconscious due to loss of blood, but mainly because of the shock he received. Caalum looked like he was going to pass out any time too. I got him a coffee and excused myself to the ladies.
My mind was in a whirl. No matter how I think, I still could not understand how Aaron almost met with an accident when I did not plan it at all. I then decided to seek help from Sapphire.
Luckily, Sapphire had just ended the meeting. When she saw me, she beamed. " My dearest Persephone! I missed you so much!"
" Me too. Sapphire, I am here today to ask you a question. "I said.
Sapphire raised an eyebrow," Sounds serious. let's hear it."
" How come my Destiny Mortal met with a car accident when I did not write it in my Destiny Book?" I asked.
"Hmm...there are 2 possibilities. The first one is that someone changed what you wrote in the Destiny Book. The other one is that the Death Angels were the ones behind it." she explained.
"The first one is impossible..But wad are Death Angels? How come I have never heard of them before?" I was puzzled and had an ominous feeling about it.
" Death Angels can be said to be the most powerful immortals in the 3 realms. They have immense power and so, have the right to kill any mortal they like. Thus, we have to protect our Destiny Mortal. We have to be by their sides until the day you decide for them to die. We must never offend the Death Angels or else war will break out in heaven, Understand?" Sapphire explained.
"I do nt wish to have anything to do with those death Angels. they sound horrible." I said.
Sapphire laughed and ushered me back to Aaron's side. But her laughter stopped when she gave me a last warning that the Death Angels will not let the matter rest that easily...

I jus finished linking everyone.
Today was the last day at the learning lab.
Finally i am free from English tuition..
But nt for long.
DAMN!
The coming wed, i have eng tuition at the learning point...
i hate tuitions...
It was quite sad to leave learning lab.
the teacher was quite nc.
the students thr were like geniuses but very pai kia de....
So lessons were nt tt boring..

20. May.2009 is the day i watched finish Boys before Flowers
And the first time i went out with the netballers.
We went to 18 chef and i ate erm...
Black pepper chicken sausage cheese-baked pasta (long name...)
Black pepper is very hot...
I just wanted to have sth new, but I over-estimated myelf:(
And i hate chilli...But I still finished the whole bowl (thanks to the ice lemon tea)
Moral of the story: Nvr ever order black pepper ever again.

Today was horrible!
My maths teacher confiscated my book!

I was reading a very nice part...

His eyes bore into mine across the classroom. I realise I could not take my eyes off him as my heartbeat accelerated, pumping hard against my ribcage. His gaze was overwhelming,sending an electrifying jolt through my body. I blinked and broke the contact between us. I quickly transfixed my gaze back to my books. My cheeks were burning. Aaron on the other hand was equally shocked and he asked to be excused to go to the toilet. He never spared me a look as he walked past the the window. I felt a pang of disappointment but shrugged the feeling aside when I saw Callum smiling at me.
When the long awaited bell finally resounded, students dashed out of the classroom for their break. I was one of the few that stayed in the classroom. Callum walked up to me and asked if we could have lunch together. I readily agreed. However, I saw Aaron sitting alone at his seat and I had the sudden urge to invite him for lunch but decided against it. " This will be my private time with my brother.."
After school, I bade goodbye to Callum when I saw Aaron walking to the library. " I have to know more about my destiny mortal!"
At the library, I pretended to bump into him. " Oh, hi." I said casually, smiling.
"Hi..." he said, walking away to find a seat.
I thought to myself, " Why is he so shy towards me...???!" I followed him and sat down beside him.
There was an awkward silence between us.
I had to break this so I turned and looked at him. " Er, Aaron. My name is Persehone. Sephy for short. Can we be frens?"
He hesitated before he slowly turned to look at me, " Hi, Sephy. Nice name you have. "He gave me a lopsided grin.
I thought I flew to heaven. He was just so charming... Then, I heard a familiar voice.
" Sephy! I thought you were going home?"
I muttered a curse under my breath as I turn to look at Callum. " I just remembered that I had something to research for..."
Callum nooded and then he noticed Aaron. " Hi, buddy! My name is Callum! Yours?"
Just like that, they became frens. I remembered what I had written in my destiny book and cursed myself. " Damn it. There goes my quality time with Aaron. This is all Callum's fauly...No wonder they say, little brothers are annoying..."

I was hanging in mid-air...I was gasping for air...I was dying...I felt weak all over and my stomach were doing somersaults. I strugled violently, thrashing my limps wildly... A freezing hand closed over my neck. It grasped me tighter and tighter.It gave me no chance to breathe, I tried to summon up the last bit of my power , but to no avail. Then, a strong surge of energy hit my heart...
I woke up with a jolt, drenched in sweat. Looking around frantically, I realised I was in the same cosy room I slept in last night. Not the spooky Des-Poison Tree...The image flashed through my mind and I shivered at the thought of it. Suddenly, the bell rang. I jumped.
The bell rang again impatiently. I quickly ran to open the hotel door. There was a hotel staff with a big parcel in his hands. He looked at my outfit quizzically. I followed his gaze and realised I was wearing my disgusting Destiny gown."Shit..." I thought. In a gruff voice, he spoke," Miss Persephone, please acknowledge this parcel."
I scribbled a signature, snatched the parcel and slammed the door at his face.I was totally embarrassed but tossed my feelings aside as i ripped open the parcel. I beamed when I saw the contents in it. There were many designers clothing and a set of keys. The keys were labelled as "house keys" with the address below it. "Sapphire is the best", i thought to myself happily as I got ready for the first day at school.
Once again, I teleported to Victoria Junior College. It was ENORMOUS! I was taken aback by the huge school and had trouble finding my classroom. I ran around the whole school, (literally) but, my classroom was nowhere in sight. I glanced at my watch and was aghast to see that lessons will be starting in 5 minutes.
I leaned against the lockers in the corridor, frustrated and tired. My mind wandered but I was brought back to the Earth by a voice.
"Excuse me?"
My eyes flickered open and I screamed at the face that is so near to mine. The guy was shocked by my sudden outburst that he jumped away from me.
Then, I recognised him, and I thought I forgotten how to breathe for a moment. It was Callum. My brother. I had watching over him day and night from a faraway place and finally I was here today. I can finally feel him, touch him and talk to him. After 19 years.
" Are you okay?" I asked when I found my voice, helping him to stand up.
He smiled and stood up. " Are you a freshman here?"
I nodded. " Sapphire must have registered me as a 17 year old student..."I thought.
"Me too!" He said.
I casually asked for his name and just like that we became friends. Apparently, Callum was studying the same course as me and he knew where the classroom was.
When I entered the classroom, I got another blow. I thought I forgotten what my name was. There sitting at the far end of the classroom was Arron. My destiny mortal. I stood stiffly there, till Callum guided me to a seat at the other end of the classroom where nobody could see what I was doing.
I flipped open the Destiny book and started writing my second entry for Arron. As I wrote, I glanced at Arron. Sometimes, I could feel his gaze burning towards me and I get the tingly feeling again.

Today, Arron recognises me. He will make friends with Callum Lin. Nothing special happens to him in school. He goes to the school library after school, as usual and walks his pet dog when he comes home. The end.

I closed the book and when I turned to look at Arron, our eyes met.

Chapter 2

I teleported myself outside a hotel and strolled in to check-in to a hotel room. I was still ecstatic to find out that my destiny mortal was a hunk. He was so charming and I never had that kind of feeling before. With a spring in my step, I went to my hotel room and started on my first destiny entry for the hunk. I looked into the Destiny mirror Sapphire gave me and wished for my destiny mortal’s whereabouts now.

“Destiny Mirror, tell me the whereabouts of my destiny mortal, this very second!” I said in a booming voice. As usual, the mirror swirled around in circles, making strange “popping” sounds and finally, it settled on my lap and my destiny mortal’s image appears.

“He seems to be in a classroom, having lessons...OMQ; a girl is staring at him! She looks so bitchy…She should look at herself in the damn mirror…how could she ever hook up a guy like him. Gosh! He is sooo handsome!”I gushed to myself, cursing and insulting the bitchy girl under my breath. Then, the teacher called out,” Aaron, do you know the answer to this question?” My destiny mortal responded, and said out the correct answer. The teacher beamed and I beamed even wider. I just know the name of my Destiny Mortal! “AARON! Such a charming name, suits him!”

I thought hard and long for a destiny for Aaron. Finally, I was ready. I picked up my pen and flipped open the Destiny Book. There were rules on the first page of it…

Rules of the Destiny Book:

1. Only a Destiny Angel is allowed to open and write on this book.

2. There must be an entry of the Destiny Mortal every day, or else, the Destiny Mortal will be sick for the entire day, till the destiny is written for the day.

3. The last entry will be the day the Destiny Mortal dies and the Destiny Angel can choose to rise to Heaven or continue their next Destiny Mortal

4. If the Destiny Angel decides to end the mortal life, tear all the pages after the last entry of the Destiny Mortal.

I looked blankly at the page, suddenly realizing the importance of being a Destiny Angel…Taking a deep breath, I started on the first entry.

Today is the day Aaron realizes that a bitch in his class is looking at him during lessons. He hates the girl and wishes that the girl will stop doing that. He confronts her during recess. The girl immediately thought that Aaron was going to confess to her and made a mess out of everything. She gets over Aaron and started hating him. Meanwhile, Aaron is happy that the problem was solved. He began starting a daily routine of going to the library daily after school. He walked home after borrowing a few books and helped an old lady cross the road. He watched 2 hours of TV before going to sleep. In his dream, he dreamed of the girl he bumped into earlier in the morning. The end.

I closed the book and in my sleep, I dreamed of him too…
